POWCH is a young leather goods label, based in Zurich, Switzerland.
We are dedicated to providing you with fine, affordable pouches for your essential everyday objects.
Our products are carefully handmade in Zurich.
We use offcut leather and artificial leather from upholsterers and saddleries. This means that each colour and model is only available in limited edition.
PRODUCT INFO
Leather is a natural product that can show scars, scratches and other irregularities. No two pieces of leather are identical. There can be slight variations in colour and grain even if you order two items of the same colour type.
Leather has two sides. Our colour description indicates the colour of the outer side. The inner side does not necessarily conform with that description, nor with the colour you see in the pictures. Rarer types of leather may cost a little more than products of regular texture or colour.
Over time, your POWCH is going to show signs of use. Leather naturally becomes shinier, darker and softer. All this makes your POWCH truly unique and personal.
If you feel like you have to clean your POWCH, we recommend using a damp cloth. You can also treat it with a leather care product. Please bear in mind that both cleaning and treating can affect the leather’s colour. Make sure your POWCH has dried completely before you continue using it.

Apart from our own collection of everyday accessories made from offcut leather, we offer custom-made products based on our existing range of goods.
On top of that, we’re keen to develop and manufacture entirely new products by way of a commission or a collaboration.

Wingo x Powch «Recycled Phone Bag»
In Summer 2020, we designed and manufactured a phone bag together with the Swiss Internet and mobile service provider Wingo.
A used billboard tarp provided the raw material for the project, and we gladly accepted the challenge to work with a different recycled/reused material than leather.
The goal was to create a functional phone bag with a distinct design, which we elaborated through a large number of prototypes.
The final design comprised the body of the bag, a separate pocket for cards, a lid with a clasp, and an adjustable carrying strap.
A limited edition of just over 100 bags was subsequently produced, each item being unique due to the recycled material.

Leder Locher «Stay Positive Bag»
We were approached by the long-established Swiss leather goods company Leder Locher in early 2021. After a year of covid-19, and a second lockdown in Switzerland at the time, the company wanted to develop a mask-shaped bag, thus creating a distance to this omnipresent, sinister matter in a humorous fashion.
We took care of all the steps along the way, from prototyping and material procurement to manufacturing.
On the inside of the bag, there is an extra pocket and a snap hook. The straps allow carrying it over the shoulder or as a handbag.
The outside displays a silk-screened Leder Locher branding in the style of typical imprints alongside the mask’s edges, plus the slogan:

Customised Tobacco Pouch for
Swiss cigarette brand «Sullana»
We’ve teamed up with the revived Swiss cigarette brand Sullana, which used to be one of the most popular in the country around the middle of the last century. Sullana only uses Tobacco grown in Switzerland, and their products are free of additives.
For their rolling Tobacco, we designed and manufactured a pouch that can be closed with buttons. A removable strap allows the user to hang it around the neck. The slit of the paper pocket follows the same principle as our own tobacco pouches. It serves as a dispenser through which you can comfortably pick the papers one by one.
Additionally, the outside of the Sullana tobacco pouch is embellished with the brand’s iconic logo.
We made this product in a small range of colours and, as always, in a limited edition. It can be bought in Sullana’s online shop here.
